Bloomberg reported that the past few weeks, Facebook is a marketing research willingness of users to pay to gain access to the social network without advertising. This decision was taken after the scandal with the leak of personal data and should offer users the choice of either to pay monthly for access to social networks and not to see ads, either Facebook will be available for free, but the social network will show ads and collect more data about the person.
At the moment it is too early to talk about whether Facebook can make the decision to launch the paid version. Previously, the social network has already conducted a similar study but it was aimed at studying the possibility of increasing audience, now we are talking about how to offer choice to those people who pay great attention to the handling and use of personal data. It is possible that after influence on U.S. elections and numerous scandals users will change their minds about paid access and the function of marketers seem Facebook popular.
If a paid subscription will indeed be implemented and show its effectiveness, it will be spreading to other products such as Instagram and WhatsApp. After this Facebook experience could be shared and other services and social networks, e.g. VK or Viber. However, everything will depend on whether users are willing to pay for no ads and more delicate work with their personal data. Mark Zuckerberg has not yet commented on the situation, but said that Facebook will always be able to access your money.
